Caffe' La Vela - LIPARI

Called a caffe but turned out to be a really good restaurant. We had caponata, parmigiana and they three different pasta dishes … swordfish in two ways … all excellent home made style food. Highly recommended

Stopped off for coffee on day 2 of the island hopping. The owner served my party, excellent English,(my Italian is woeful), helpful and his recommended cheese cake and tiramisu, absolutely top notch. We went back after dinner for a gin and cheesecake, again the owner served us recommending an excellent gin and desert wine. Couldn’t fault it, wish we had gone their got our evening meal!

Arrived at 3pm after lunch was over. Service couldn’t have been better, brought us a variety of focaccia, pizza slices and rolls. Deserts and white wine gorgeous too!!
