Hapag Filipino Restaurant - Lipa

Stay away from this restaurant as they charge you wit an unreasonable price which is ridiculous. I ordered a plate fo Shanghai fried rice with s sunny side up and a glass of mango juice. Guess how much? 380 piso! My first and last in this restaurant!

Dont ever ever make the mistake of coming to this place. And pls google remove it from ur list. I ate there with a friend. Ordered pinakbet P200. Bulalo P600. They dnt have price list for fish kilawin but we ordered just d same. They served about 100grams of kilawin with so many garnishing of ginger, onions and bell pepper. Guess how much they charged us with d shabby kilawin? P600. Really, dont make the mistake of coming to ds place or it will ruin your vacation

After our Taal walking tour, we decided to have dinner in Lipa on the way back to Manila. We came across Hapag Filipino Restaurant via the internet (search for best Filipino restos in Lipa City). We ordered the bulalo soup, fried tawilis (small fish), steamed veggies, tortang talong (eggplant) and the grilled squid. Doubled our order for the tawilis and squid. Could not resist dipping the fried tawilis in the sauces. Added chilis to the sauce to add more kick. Everything we ordered was just right in taste. Not salty , not too oily. Serving size was just right for the 6 of us. It was just like a home cooked meal by one of the Lipa families. For dessert, we had a free set of sweets - macapuno, ube & yema pastillas. Prices of the food were somewhat higher than normal but worth the quality and taste of the food. Service was fast and staff was quite attentive. Parking is available in front & at the side of the resto. Highly recommended for those who are craving for simple, home cooking in a casual place. Will definitely return to Hapag when I go back to Batangas.

Sinigang na Maliputo is the best starter. I always love coming back to this place. Everyone should patronize the place as it offers authentic home cooked meal that we all miss with the fast growing fast food chains.

Too pricey....not worth the quality of food served! Serving is so small for groups..."Lutong bahay" is far better than their food. Not really recommended if you're looking for value and quality.
