Chowking - Lipa

I went to this restaurant specifically for the Halo2 dish. I have had the Halo2 at Chowking before and it is the only thing I ever order from this restaurant. The service was decent, nothing extraordinary. My order arrived within a few minutes, which was impressive considering the restaurant was quite busy. The waiter kindly provided me with a napkin. The Halo2 dish was delicious!

To start, my order (priced at 162php) had a terrible taste. I ordered a sweet and sour lauriat dish, which included egg fried rice, sweet and sour pork, pancit, chicharap, and a buchi. The pancit was extremely dry, and the pork was over-fried to the point of being tough and cardboard-like (not that I eat cardboard, but you get the idea). The only decent parts were the chicharap and the buchi, which were both enjoyable. However, I was appalled when they allowed a woman with a pug (dog) inside the restaurant. This is unsanitary and unacceptable, as dogs should not be in places where people eat. I will not be returning to this restaurant and will be reporting this experience to a regional director that I know personally.
