Cooks Cafe - Lincoln

I was shocked by how busy this restaurant was. We had to wait around 30 minutes for a table, and then it took almost an hour for our food to arrive. The food was very greasy, and although the presentation was fine, I can't handle greasy food. We ordered biscuits and gravy, but the gravy was no better than what you can find in a package at the grocery store. I have experience working in restaurants and know that classic American breakfast doesn't have to be greasy to be tasty. I wish good luck to anyone eating there because all that grease coming from the kitchen is likely to give you a stomachache or send you running to the restroom.

Delicious! I absolutely adore their blueberry and cream cheese french toast. During my most recent visit, I indulged in a ham and cheese omelet, fluffy pancakes, crispy hash browns, and perfectly cooked bacon. There was no wait on a weekday around 11 am and the waitress was wonderful.

I was unaware that they had relocated to this area, but I must say, the new location is truly impressive. I don't recall how the food was at their previous location on North 66th, but I can confidently say that it is delicious here! I recently had a western omelette and it was filled with thick, hearty ham. This is definitely how a western omelette should be made! I also tried their country potatoes as a side and they were absolutely fantastic. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future!

After our visit to Marsh Wren Community Wetlands: breakfast was in order. Our server Ellie was bright and Cheery, and professional. Cooks Cafe is the epitome of home and comfort foods. My first time in their gorgeous new location! We were lucky???? and seated right away heard there can be a waiting line . Even better than I remembered, I?m glad we landed here on awonderful day in paradise. ????

Better than average breakfast diner. Eggs were fresh, smoked bacon was good, bread fresh and food was prepared well. I really loved the atmosphere. Marble with a touch of mahogany and old fashioned brass...bathrooms and all. Tile on the floor was prettynice. I would have given them a 4 plus, but once we were sat, we waited for 10 minutes to order and then another 30 minutesbefore our food arrived. Just too much waiting after we were sat and it wasn't that busy either. In all, it was a better thanaverage experience.
