Doddington Summer Tea Room - Lincoln

I visited Doddington tea room for afternoon tea .. I can only say lovely. It really was a lovely. The afternoon tea area was so nice and the tables set with nice china cups/plate. The staff was so friendly and helpful and can’t fault the food. If you want a nice afternoon out or a treat I would definitely recommend.

Whilst the staff were really friendly and extremely helpful, the quality of the food somewhat let the experience down. The scones were huge but extremely dry and also some of the bread of the sandwiches was also dry, both of which was disappointing I had to leave most of my scone and my fellow attendee as a consequence decided to leave the other scone. However the homemade Bakewell slices were absolutely superb I personally didn't try the numerous chocolate cake items as don't like. Finally, we were seated near the door, which people kept leaving open so on occasion it was quite chilly

Service was excellent , afternoon tea was good for the range of dietary requirements.

This was a gift staff member was really helpful in helping us to move table due to being at door initially next to loud party, she kindly moved us to both areas much quieter enabling us to chat. Food was ok sausage roll pastry was had however, could eat.

The service was brilliant. We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, it was a lovely setting, and you didn't hear much noise from the cafe/restaurant side, even though it was very busy. The food was lovely and exceptional quality. Really good value for money.
