Le Palme - LIMONE SUL GARDA

We had spaghetti vongole and it was sublime. First I was about to order pizza but I saw a waiter bringing pizza for someone else. And let me say it looked bwoah a.k.a bad. Other pasta dishes looked nice aswell, so pastas here are an absolute must.

We spent a lovely week in Limone and had a mixed experience of the restaurants but this one was definitely outstanding for its excellent food and great service. Waiters were all polite and friendly and actually answered in Italian when we spoke Italian. In our experience the majority of waiters spoke in German even when we spoke Italian or English !!

We stopped at Le Palme for lunch whilst visiting Limone. On arrival we were shown a table by the lake so we could enjoy the lovely views. We both enjoyed a Aperol spritz and a pizza, I do regret not trying the seafood as it looked amazing!

We visited this lake-side eatery a couple of times and found it a charming place to get refreshments. The menu is huge, prices are reasonable and service is quick. And of course you sit right on the edge of the lake with unhindered views across the water. Yes the Italian waiters are not the most friendly, but here at least, they are a lot better than most places.

Microwaved food and poor attitude from staff when complaining about the meal. Had to wait 10 mins for my wife’s food after the other food was served. Rude manager who shoved the bill in my face. Wouldn’t entertain a discount.
