We had a wonderful meal! My husband chose the tamales, while I went for the chili rellenos. The sauces were excellent too.

Whenever I'm in the area, I always make it a point to stop by for takeout. I usually opt for the taco salad or the enchilada combo, both of which are outstanding choices. The food is consistently well-prepared. Hats off to the team! I highly recommend this restaurant.

The beef enchilada plate I ordered, topped with red sauce, was quite disappointing, and the rice was similarly uninspiring. However, my wife thoroughly enjoyed her chicken enchiladas, which were served with a fiery green chili. On a different note, the parking lot appeared neglected and gave off an abandoned vibe. If not for the bright "OPEN" sign in the window, we might have chosen to eat elsewhere. Overall, I'm pleased we chose to stay; it ended up being a decent place to have a meal during our road trip.

I ordered the cheese enchilada plate along with a side of green chili, but I had to wait over 55 minutes for my food to arrive. When it finally got to me, the enchiladas were cold and dry, definitely not worth the lengthy wait. As I was finishing my meal, I noticed a nearby table had to leave because they had expected to be done eating by that point but still hadn't received their orders. The waitress wouldn't let them pay for their drinks, insisting that their meals were on the way. After that, it took her another 15 minutes to prepare their to-go containers. Given the long wait time and the poor food quality, I will not be returning here. Jenny's across the street offers nearly half the price and five times the quality.

If you find yourself in Limon, you must make a stop at this amazing Mexican restaurant! While we were passing through, we were thrilled to see its stellar ratings and mouthwatering photos. Our excitement only intensified when we discovered it’s a family-run business! We sampled the steak, carnitas, and barbacoa tacos, as well as a tamale and some sopapillas. Everything was outstanding! The tacos were so delicious that they didn’t even require the salsas on the side. The tamale was perfectly tender, with a harmonious blend of masa and meat. The sopapilla was a delightful treat that brought back cherished memories for my dad, as it reminded him of his grandmother’s recipe! You definitely need to check this local treasure out and show your support!
