La Taverne Garibaldi - Limoges

Ate here on a Thursday night at roughly 8 pm. I was the only one in the restaurant so service was pretty decent! I ordered from the prix fixe menu, getting an "Alsacian salad," beef carpaccio, and fromage frais. The salad was mostly potatoes and salami with a bit of green mixed in. The carpaccio was served with green salad and french fries. The fromage frais was served plain, but the waiter offered sugar, which improved the flavor greatly. Small carafes of wine were available, so I chose a Riesling. I somewhat regretted getting the beef carpaccio, though not due to the quality of the dish itself - I just probably should have gotten something more appropriately Alsacian, as the menu was pretty extensive. The food was quite good and the prix fixe was reasonable at 27 EUR. The coffee served at the end was amazing - a sort of chocolately overtone that was not at all bitter or overpowering. Would eat here again.
