Papacho's - Lima

Food was good, burger, onion rings, fries...almost felt like home. Ordered nachos, they were interesting and good. Many bottle beers to choose from, crowded but was seated quickly.

Not what I was expecting from a burger joint. It has a lot of options and the portions are huge. The place is also very nice and the attention was great.

Two of us for dinner, ordered mac and cheese and a portion of nachos. Both tasted great but the portions were small for the price. Would not return purely because of the portion sizes and price. Im vegetarian so got the nachos without chicken and...unfortunately there was no lower price for no meat. I asked for extra cheese instead doesn’t seem I got it. Also paid by card and when the machine was given to me the price was in euro. Had I realised I would have paid cash or asked I be charged in local currency as this way I got charged more as the restaurant gives their own exchange rate.

The burger was ok but nothing to make a special effort to go. I had the burger with blue cheese which as far as I am concerned was not in the burger. There was a bit of sauce with a very little flavor of blue...cheese. The menu did say blue cheese.I guess Gaston needs to check what cheeses are. The chilcano once again I think Gaston needs to get an update on drinks. A very ordinary chilcano from someone (Gaston) who promotes Peruvian products.

This is the perfect place when you are tired of Ceviche. It is not fancy. There is an extensive menu but the specialty is burgers and they are excellent. It is a little tricky to find in the Larco mall but head to the north...end and go down a level. If you make a reservation, you can get a table looking out the window over the ocean.
