La Bonbonniere - Lima

Visiting Peru we went to eat several times to this restaurant. Enjoy so much the delicious Peruvian food. We ate their famous Lomo Saltado. Pieces of meat mix with fries, tomatoes and onion with white rice. Papa a la Huancaina, boil potatoes top with cheese salsa and drink fresh chicha morada. A refreshment water made with purple corn from Peru. They also have many wonderful deserts and the best coffee. Cheers to this place and congratulations to the chef and all nice workers there.

A great spot overlooking the Pacific Ocean to stop for lunch. We had burgers, pasta, soup and the local beer. All excellent value and delicious. Great service. Would highly recommend.

Had a very nice lunch here with my family on a Saturday. It’s a nice location in a calm neighbourhood offering outdoor seating with umbrellas and comfortable chairs. It seems to be a very popular place with the locals. They have a great menu with lots to chose from, and also had a full English version of the menu that was great for travellers like us who are non-Spanish speaking. We had the chicken Caesar salad that was delicious, and the salmon poké bowl; both were very tasty and made with fresh ingredients. The Bolivian empanada was also great with fresh lime. They served icy cold beer in chilled glasses too that was very refreshing. The waiter was very attentive to our needs and our two children offering paper and pencils for them draw and colour in.

After having walked along the cliffs for most of the morning we decided to have lunch and wanted to pick a place with a view. There are a few restaurants along the cliff edge but we picked this one because of the menu. It was a bit chilly this day but we still wanted to sit outside...no problem they have plexiglass walls so the view is unimpeded but there is no wind. The hang gliders even pass by close enough to wave. There was a nice touch of a blanket on the seat if we did get cold. Our waiter Adolfo was sweet as could be, he answered all our questions and was very attentive. I ordered the salmon sandwich and my son had a burger both of which were yummy. They have a specialty drink menu which I did order from. I also had not yet tried a chicha morada so I tried one here. Prices very reasonable for good food in a prime location
