Cafe Portofino - Lihue

This place is fantastic! I take pride in my homemade Alfredo sauce and pasta, but the Alfredo pasta here is definitely the best I've ever had. The bread could use some improvement, but the view is stunning and the staff is really friendly. The service is excellent—we didn't need reservations and there was no wait. We've been here for five days and have already dined here twice. I highly recommend it!

We wanted to try this restaurant before leaving the island, and I must say, we were thrilled to do so! We ordered the daily special: pasta with shrimp, marlin fish, and shellfish in a red sauce, and it was beyond delicious—truly on another level. My husband had the Carbonara, which was also super tasty. For dessert, we had tiramisu and a caramel crunch, and the latter was my favorite! The view is breathtaking, and the customer service was excellent. If you have the time, be sure to visit this place. They also have pizza that looked and smelled amazing, but we opted for dessert instead of trying the pizza.

Delicious restaurant! I don't exaggerate when I say the lasagna is the best I've ever had. AMAZING! The chicken marsala is also delicious, like the Carbonara. All shrimp options are also top-tier. Service is very good and highly recommended!

Called to order pizza for takeout. It was encouraging that the wait time was only 20min. That?s the end of the positives. Pizza was burnt and salty. It definitely wasn?t worth $20 a pizza. Should have gone with Pizza Hut.

My server was extremely nice. Food was excellent. It's a bit in the top range for price but it's a good place for a date night or a general night out. You can hear the waves from the beach in pretty much every part of the restaurant.
