Bidrage med feedbackThe food was decent, but it didn't quite capture the authenticity of Mexican cuisine, even though it was somewhat close. I dined in for dinner, and the cost per person was around $10 to $20. I would rate the food a 3 out of 5, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 3. I recommend trying the chips and queso along with the salsa and chips.
I had lunch here with some friends and we really enjoyed our meal. I ordered the mushroom quesadilla with chicken, while my friend chose the same but with lengua, which isn't always on the menu. Both dishes were delicious, and the service was quick and attentive. I also tried the tres leches cake; it wasn't exactly traditional, but it was incredibly tasty! I'm not familiar with other lunch spots in the area, but El Vaquero definitely stands out as a strong contender. Service: Dine-in.
I visited the restaurant for dinner on Saturday night. My wife ordered the chicken mole, and she said it was one of the best she's ever had. I tried the birria tacos, and the sauce was unlike any I've tasted before—it included chopped hot dogs and beans, which could have easily made a meal on their own. The flavor was quite good, although I felt the meat could have been shredded more. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience. Service: Dine-in.
Never expected to find the kind of Mexican food you might eat in a home in Puebla or Veracruz. This place is pleasing to the eye, friendly staff and a great chef. Carne Asada and Carnitas were both superb and the beans, rice, guacamole and tortillas were just as good!!! Mil gracias!! Kid-friendliness: Kids will love this place!
