Bidrage med feedbackAttended with wife and her sisters yesterday (20/01/24 . Service was acceptable but slow. I had cod and fries. The fries were overcooked, dry and stuck together. The cod, which is described as line caught (really? was on the small side and had the skin on (yuk . Some people don 't mind that but many don 't and it 's unusual (clearly profit first . The Madri lager was good, but our next meeting will be elsewhere.
Oh what a dreadful evening 19th Jane We've been many times although we don't live locally it's always worth the drive !!! NOT AGAIN! 50 mins for the starter to come out and that was asking Jess our w aitresswho was lovely(not her fault) Not impressed when it came out,The main was shocking my partner was able to eat some of his seabass, but mine was so burnt I Don't know how they dared bring it out!! Definitely not returning after all these years and we're not alone by the look of the other reviews..
I stopped by today for coffee and dessert. I sat in the bar area away from the restaurant and tried to get the attention of the staff, but unfortunately, I was completely ignored. Despite waiting patiently and watching the bar staff come and go, no one made any effort to acknowledge or serve me. My visit ended without anyone asking about the lack of service. This was my third visit, and unfortunately, it will be my last. The service has consistently been terrible or non-existent.
It has been a year since we last visited, when we found the service to be poor and the food very average. We were tempted back by an email offer to celebrate my birthday. It gave a QR code and the t&c 's stated: Receive up to 3 courses for free. One guest can receive one free starter when another full priced starter is purchased, one free main when a full priced main is purchased and one free dessert when a full priced dessert is purchased . We waited 20 minutes for the drinks ' order to be taken and delivered even though the venue was not busy. When we came to order food, we explained that we only wanted main meals, assuming (as the offer said) that if we paid for a full price main meal one other (cheaper) main would be free. However, we were told that in order to obtain a free main meal we would have to pay for a full three course meal which we did not want. The most senior member of staff was the acting shift manager, who said that (whatever the wording of the email offer) she had been told only to give a free course if another full price 3 course meal had been purchased. This is obviously a Trading Standards issue, compounded by the fact that the venue was also advertising two main meals for the price of one the following week. Needless to say, we did not stop to eat and will not be returning. I pointed out that the cutlery on the table was dirty and there was some food stuck on the side plate, which had not been washed properly. Neither were removed from the table when we left.
One of my favorite places to eat out with family or partners, and normally I really enjoy their meals. However, I was very disappointed when I received an email voucher stating 50% off mains until the 19th. After booking a meal for four, I realized the voucher was only valid from the 8th to the 19th and it was only the 6th, so we couldn't use it. They really shouldn't send offers that are unclear on their terms, as it put a damper on the evening. We wouldn't have booked for that date if we had known. We ended up spending a lot of money for a poor experience.
