This place was recommended to us by the guys of our B&B. The place inside is pretty old, and the sofas quite dirty. Coming to the service, the young girl who was serving us, it felt as if she didn’t wanna be there, she was just serving food, and never asked if we liked it. We ordered cozze soup, seafood salad and octopus. The only thing we loved was the cozze. The seafood salad wasn’t fresh, the shrimps were smelling and tasting pretty bad, in fact we left them. Coming to the octopus, worst octopus we ever had, it was so hard to chewy, impossible to eat, in fact we left it. The atmosphere at the restaurant was pretty awkward. It would be lovely to be served by someone who has passion for their job. As a client we go to a restaurant to have a lovely time and eat nice food, not to feel awkward. For the kitchen, please taste the food before it goes out of the kitchen.
This is our third winter in Licata, and our third winter eating at La Lampara. We remaine completely impressed with the quality and care with which their changing menu of wonderful dishes are prepared and served. Melissa and Salvatore are very hands-on restaurant owners, and we can guarantee that you'll never have a bad meal. Don't miss the Gamberi in Crema di Pistachi (an antipasto) or the Linguini ala Lampara, when it's available. Often good meat and always excellent fish.

Fresh fish and cooked divinely by the chef. very kind staff, especially the mistress, flawless mistress
