Mama Dee's Coney Island - Lexington

This place is NEVER open. I can’t support a business that is never open and I’m from Michigan.

As a lifelong Detroiter, I really enjoy this restaurant. However, my main complaint is that they're hardly ever open, even when their hours indicate they should be. It's impossible to reach anyone by phone. The food is fantastic, but getting in touch with them is incredibly frustrating.

The restaurant was closed, which is never a good sign. Their door says they close at 9 PM, but Yelp states it's 7 PM. I arrived at 6 PM on a Thursday, and it was locked up tight. I ended up going to Big Kahuna instead, and the food there was excellent!

The four of us went out of our way to find this place instead of grabbing fast food at the previous exits, only to discover it was closed! The "open" sign in the window suggested they were available, and their website indicated the same. It seems they don't care much for their customers, new or returning. This experience made me appreciate the loyalty of my customers back in Michigan—even I would never be so unreliable.

Love the decor , the service was excellent. And the owners are very pleasant and accommodating. And the food Reminded me of Detroit .
