Denny's - Lewisville

They had the best customer service I've seen anywhere in a long time. Edgar was our server and was great! They were understaffed, busy, and it was a little after midnight and he still checked on us and got us everything we needed really fast. Usually it takes at least 1 to 2 hours to to eat and get out of Denny's, but we got out of there pretty fast. The food was also really good.

My husband and I had dinner there today. When we arrived a young man was cleaning the windows then he stopped and showed us to our table also took our order...he did it all and was awesome! He was funny and courteous and is a real gem at Denny's!! And the food was great too!

Just amazing no problems food was fantastic. Waiter was super nice. She even brought us refills when she noticed we didn’t have any more drink. Just amazing 10/10.

That was a very strange experience. When we were there, my wife asked if they served coffee all day. The waiter stared at us for a while. I wasn't sure he didn't understand the question, so I just answered it and said that I think you could get coffee at any time. After I got my food, I noticed there was a hair in my French pommes. Somehow frustrating considering that I paid extra for the seasoned frits I stopped touching not really because of the hair. To be fair, I didn't mention it to the waiter just because he didn't really seem to know what was going on. He came to our table after my drink was empty about 5-10 minutes and asked if we needed something. I had to ask him specifically for mine and just fill in. When he brought my daughter with her pancakes, we had to ask for syrup and butter how things can go. It just seemed strange. But the number one weirdest thing that happened is 3 minutes after he put the check in the middle of our meal, he came back and expected the payment already. I gave him the card provided he was in a hurry to get out. When I gave him the card, he pulled out a pencil and gave it to me and said, "Do you want to add any tips?" Actually, I was shocked. I've never asked of a waiter. So I had to take it twice and ask to repeat myself because I might have heard it wrong (there is nowhere to add a tip to the entrance). He asked again: “Do you want to add tips? “I was once a waiter and don’t believe in tapping when I’m rude service. I didn't feel he was rude. Only completely noticeable of the corresponding behavior for someone in the service industry. I added a tip. But he sat there watching me write it before he took it to the register. Such a strange experience.

This experience was really great! We normally don't visit this location, but I'm glad that we did because the waiter was phenomenal! I wish that I could remember his name. We went this week in the evening. I believe it was Monday evening October 10th. The waiter was super friendly, extremely attentive, personable, and made the evening great! What he didn't know is that my son's dad had just gotten out of the hospital from cancer complications, and he really just wanted a nice treat after his hospital stay. The food was hot and good, but the waiters service meant everything and his smile and attitude really brought a lot to the experience. Definitely visit this location for great food and great service. ?
