La Cabana Mexican - Lewistown

I've lived in the southwest for years this is the closest to authentic I have had here. Speedy service really good food and reasonable prices

The restaurant has changed its name to La Fogata, and I must say, the food is the best Mexican cuisine we've experienced in the area for quite some time. I was almost ready to give up on Midwest Mexican food, but after seeing a review for La Cabana, I decided to give it one more shot, and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the beef chimichanga, which came with beans, rice, and guacamole. Everything was incredibly flavorful! The beans were thick and hearty, not the watery mess we've encountered at other places. The chips were warm, and the guacamole had a nice chunky texture. My husband tried the ranchero pollo and agreed that it was the best we've had in ages. The staff was courteous and efficient, and the service was quick. The food was excellent. We live 20 miles away but will definitely return—it's worth the drive!

Delicious food and attentive service! It's refreshing to find such a high-quality restaurant in a small town. This hardworking family business truly stands out. You won't find better Mexican cuisine anywhere else. I always order the chimichanga and have never been let down. The chips and salsa are fresh and generously portioned. Their tacos are also a fantastic choice!

The lunch portions are somewhat on the smaller side, but the food is tasty and beautifully presented. The server provided excellent service.
