Bar brasserie les Rhodos

Had a good lunch and a few drinks). Staff were friend , food was fine and the location excellent if you just want to sit and watch the world go by.

Les Contamines is not a night clubby town so Les Rhodos is probably as good as it gets. Good for a morning coffee while on the bread collection run and a friendly local stop after skiing. They do snacks but the real value is in local beers and local chat.

This is a bar where the staff really look after you. We went in for drinks and to watch the Tour de France (ironically going on in the UK while we were in the tour regions in France. We were given complementary local dried meats as a thank you for our patronage which was quite a lot whilst catching up with the tour.

Summer and Winter, we've been visiting Les Contamines for 15 years now. Although the bar changed hands a couple of years ago it is still the place we head to for a drink and a catch up with the locals at the end of the day. Good choice of drinks, some snacks available and make sure you check out the Chocolat Viennois (hot chocolate with whipped cream) if you run to a sweet tooth.
