Bidrage med feedbackI came here for the first time during the school mid-term holidays and arrived late for lunch so bit off-peak around 2.30pm. The place was quite quiet but the atmosphere was still fabulous - 2 large screens were showing "Happy Days", reminding me of my teenage years and although my teenager girls didn't know it, they loved the whole ambience. We came here since my daughter had already been here recently for a birthday party, and Bewitched was on the screens.Service was a bit slow but guess that was due our late arrival. Plenty of drinks and non-alcoholic choices. Onion rings were super and we chose Caesar Salad, just to healthy-it-up a bit to share. The orange cheese they use for the Quesadillas, however, not so great. More orange gloop than cheese but all in all, good experience all round.I'd certainly have no problem in recommending this place - especially ideal for teenagers and can see it's great for birthday parties.
The first time I went there was with a gang of friends. The same night I was really hungry so I thought the food was ok but not great. There was live music (The Puppini Sisters) a group like the Andrews Sisters and they were really good. The deco is nice, real 1950's diner style, good music,(last night they showed an Otis Redding concert and then a Santana concert : 2 big screens on each side of the big restaurant so no matter where you're sitting you can see.So I went again last night, Sat. night...big mistake. The place was jammed and when you come in you're supposed to give your name at the reception area and when there are enough places for you party, you get called. However, this wasn't marked anywhere so a lot of poor fools, like us, queued up and then people who came in afterwards and were in the know, got their names called before us ! I ordered a Margarita and the whole "drink" was made of crushed ice ! So I had to ask for a spoon...first time I've ever "eaten" an Margarita ! The food was not good. The chips aren't real chips...they're either really oily deep fried somethings or oven chips that aren't crispy. If the food was good, it would be a great place though. So basically a place to go for a beer or something at the bar or dessert and to listen to the music but not to eat a meal. Seem to be doing ok though. Mostly young people.
American food at its best. very fast service!! but you have to book after 7.30 as it gets VERY busy!!
