Bidrage med feedbackStumbled into this place while we were searching for nice spot for breakfast. We peeked in here and it looked good, so we decided to stay. There are two floors here, the bottom floor doesn't have a lot of seating because that's where they also do all thte cooking. There is more seating upstairs, which is where the six of us sat. I don't think there is any English in this restaurant, but my boyfriend and I both speak decent Spanish and we were also traveling with a friend from Mexico, so we had no issues. Even if you don't speak Spanish you can probably reasonably navigate the menu if you have a little phrasebook or translator app or something. The service was pretty friendly, they seemed a little surprised to see a random group of tourists pop into their restaurant during what seems to be a slow travel season. I highly recommend the cafe de olla (coffee made in a clay pot). Once I tried it, I drank it for the rest of the trip. It's really really tasty, and usually I need to add some sort of cream and sweetener to my coffee, but this needed none (nor did it when I ordered it in other spots). I think they add cinnamon or something to it too during the brewing, it's a must-try if you like coffee. The pancakes were also outstanding, best I've ever had. I think they were made with part corn flour and part wheat flour and it really gave them a different (delicious) flavor. My boyfriend and I ordered a torta (a breakfast sandwich version) and his parents got the pancakes, so we kept stealing bites. Our food was good too, but seriously, try the pancakes. If you come across this neat little spot while wandering the historical center of Leon, it's definitely worth checking out. We only had breakfast, I don't actually know if they have a different menu later in the day or how late they stay open. We were there at around 10AM on a weekday and it was fairly busy.
