Fatz Cafe - Lenoir

My experience was NOT good at all. Ordered the meatball appetizer and it came out hard and dry, even with the sauce on it sauce tasted fine . I couldn't even get my fork though the meatballs, and the second round that came out after I asked to have them replaced was still hard not quite as bad as the previous ones, but definitely not good . Then I ordered a 6oz. Sirloin cooked medium with grits. Well, the first thing that I noticed was that THERE WAS A HAIR in my grits. So, of course, I sent that back. Then, I notice that my steak is seriously overcooked. I wasn't medium, and it wasn't even well done. It was crispy and tasted like the underside of a grill. I had to dip it in ketchup just to eat it. The manager comped some of my bill, so the price wasn't really bad except that I didn't really get to eat my dinner . The waitress whom I believe was the front end manager was VERY NICE and I cannot fault her for her customer service or trying to make things right. It seems that they are having a seriously hard time finding people to fill positions at this location. Even with the fact that they are low staffed, and that the food would probably be better if they were fully staffed I will never return to this location and most likely will never go to another Fatz Cafe again. If I could I would give this restaurant a zero star but that is not an option.

Our server, Crystal, was amazing and the food is phenomenal. We always enjoy eating at this location.

Food at this particular location wasn't great, but it did it's job at filling me up. Other locations food is better. However the server was excellent and very attentive.

The restaurant was nice and clean. No one was at the front to seat us or welcome us. Waited over 5 minutes to be greeted. Then was seated. Waited a bit. Waitress was very nice just spread to thin. Got drinks and bread. Then the wait began..... food was not that great. Fries where warm at best. Smallest sweet potato I have ever had. Lunch there took over 2hrs. We have never been to a Fatz, was really looking forward to trying them. Food was not that good and the time it took was crazy. Only half the tables where taken.....

It's okay. Some of the food is good but they can't keep employees so the food will most of the time be under cooked or over cooked not seasoning or over seasoned. Truly a 50/50 for the prices, I do not recommend unless your going for the unlimited ribs and then you risk a chance of food poisoning. I've gone here many years after it changing management several times still the same results truly disappointing.
