Calhoun's - Lenoir City

It's unbelievable how fast Calhoun's has good hill. Service was terrible, with no bread and a very long wait. My wife's steak was way overcooked. Management has run this place in the ground. It's so sad because it used to be a great restaurant.

We had a group of 14. The service was amazing, fast and fun. The atmosphere was great, seating for our group was perfect. We will definitely have our next family outing there again.

This was our 2nd trip to this location. First was on Sunday. Arrived at noon, was seated quickly; however, it was 25 minutes before anyone came to our table. Restaurant was not crowded. Only few patrons. Numerous waiters and waitresses passed our table but made sure they did not make eye contact. We decided we would try again. Went last nite, Friday, Aug. 30. Reservations were for 5:00 and we arrived at 4:50. Again, we were seated quickly. We sat at our table for 35 minutes before a waitress stopped and asked if we been waited on. Again, many waiters and waitresses passed by, but wouldn't stop. Restaurant was not crowded. Many vacant tables. Don't think we will give Calhouns a third chance. Obviously, customer service is not a top priority. Maybe that's the reason there were so many unoccupied tables. The Manager might want to make an appearance and observe how his staff is serving their customers.

The atmosphere is great right on the lake. The beer was cold, and the burnt ends were awesome! The porkchops were dry. Service was awesome!

My family and I visited Calhoun's on Saturday. We had the Soft Baked Pretzels with Beer Cheese. They also came with a homemade honey mustard sauce. They were excellent. Hubs had the the Calhoun's Trio (double pork instead of the ribs) with mac-n-cheese. He said it was good. The MIL had a pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw. No complaints. My meal was the cheeseburger with tomatoes caprese. Unusual, I know, but trying to watch the carbs. Hubs wanted dessert so Hershey's Triple Chocolate Fudgecake with 3 spoons was ordered. MIL and I had a couple of tastes. I am not a chocolate cake fan, but it good. The service was great. Our drinks were refilled promptly, any requests were handled quickly and efficiently. The waitress checked on us appropriately. The atmosphere was great looking at the marina. We sat inside, but the large windows gave the interior plenty light. I would recommend it.
