Bidrage med feedbackFood was good. Stopped out of the blue on our way home one evening and had no trouble getting a table even though the place was pretty busy.
It has been at least 10 years since I?ve eaten here at Cj Hummels, due to the fact that I had moved to Wisconsin in that time. Now that I finally have moved back to the area, I felt it was appropriate for me to finally give the food a go today since I was passing by that area, and decided to get take out. Now, I will be honest, I could be a tad bit biased since I myself used to work at this restaurant as a dishwasher, then a cook in my early working years, but I will say this, the food still does not disappoint! I did try to order my general comfort food from CJ Hummels which was this areas known dish of Honey dipped Chicken (one of the best fried chicken recipes by the way) but unfortunately the were out of said dish (no surprise because of how good it is). So instead I got myself a Medium rare Ribeye steak and fresh cut fries. Now I have a decent trek back home, so of course I was going to have to reheat my food, but nothing an air fryer and a toaster oven can?t fix. Even with the reheating, the steak was spot on and delicious, and the fries were perfectly crisp and soft at the same time! As for the atmosphere (though I didn?t stay too long) was still quite homey and a comfortable vibe to the whole place! It definitely seems that some of the place has been re-renovated from what I remember 10 years ago, but it looks much roomier! The staff definitely is courteous and kind spirited as usual, despite it being a bunch of new faces that I?m not particularly familiar with from 10 years ago, but people come and go, and that hasn?t taken away from the general feel of vibe that CJ Hummels has to offer! All in all, I will completely recommend eating here, or at least getting take out! Thank you for a great meal guys and keep up the awesome work!
One of the best burgers I've ever had. On the downside. Seated ourselves because no one around but no sign saying please seat yourself. We were not given any silverware and had to ask for napkins. Also, my husband ordered fries in place of the chips and was charged full price for the fries. I thought they should have been discounted a few cents since he didn't get the chips but not worth saying anything for a few cents. Server was nice but he didn't bring us silverware or napkins. Food was delicious.
Janelle and the rest of the staff are absolutely wonderful. They were responsive and answered all of our questions promptly prior to the wedding. They assisted us the day of as well to see that everything ran smoothly. We had 100 guests at our wedding, but they have capacity for much more than that. We had our ceremony inside for our February 29th wedding, but the outdoor space is beautiful if your having a spring, summer, or fall wedding. The property offers a lot of great photo spaces as well. The food was delicious and we got a lot of compliments on it!! It was done as a buffet, and there are plenty of options to choose from. We are so please with all the hard work everyone at the venue put into our special day! It is an absolutely beautiful venue for a rustic style wedding. My husband and I actually met at Hummel's at a wedding 5 years prior, so it just felt right having our own wedding there.
I had a lovely time at the restaurant during a gathering with family and friends. The food was excellent, and there was plenty of space for everyone. We had a reservation for 14 people, and the service was wonderful; our waitress was fantastic. They also offered a beautiful gluten-free menu. I will definitely be returning!
