Bidrage med feedbackService: not professional but compensated with friendliness☺ Menu: good selection for brekkie, lunch + snacks. Platter available for Easter music and jam on foreshore. Rina's across the road from a lovely, peaceful location that becomes lively and popular especially with families on Sunday.
The food was left out in the sun at the same table where we were seated. Out of the 15 people in our group, 5 got very sick that night. We did not all eat the same dishes. As a result, we have not returned to that restaurant.
We went to Lemon Tree Passage in search of oysters but found that most of the restaurants and cafes were closed since it was a Monday. The only options available were Rina's and a fish and chip shop. Not wanting fried fish and chips, we decided to try the small cafe. Luckily, we managed to grab the last available seat. The cafe was bustling, with the family-run business also managing take away orders and having their children help out during school holidays. While a bit unorganized with order taking and time management, we didn't mind the wait as we were not in a rush. However, a large table of tourists was unhappy with the wait. I ordered the corn fritters, which were delicious and well worth the wait. Despite the lack of organization, the cafe showed great potential with a constant flow of customers dining in and taking away. With a bit of organization and a cohesive decor theme (mix of Indonesian and French), the cafe has the potential to flourish over time. I would definitely visit again if I return to Lemon Tree Passage in the future.
I have been here twice for breakfast after a walk. I had bacon and eggs on toast each time. Funnily enough one lot was on focaccia bread and the second meal on plain white toast so it may pay to ask when ordering. The coffee is good and there is seating outside looking at the park as well as inside the cafe and a quiet area out the back. The waitresses are pleasant and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The food was nicely cooked and presented.
My partner and I recently went to this cafe to get some takeaway lunch, as the usual place we go to was very busy. This cafe only had a small family of 4 dining in the cafe so we thought it'd be quick service. My partner and I ordered s&p squid w/ chips and salad and a chicken burger with chips. Unfortunately this took approximately 25 mins and when we were handed our takeaway there were no chips. When I stated that we didn't have our chips the cook replied "we weren't sure if you wanted them or not". I found this poor as they could have confirmed with us when we ordered, however on the menu it comes with chips so I don't understand why they didn't include it in our takeaway. So we then waited another 10 mins for our chips and then went to eat it in the park across the road. Unfortunately the s&p squid and the chips were undercooked and my partners chicken burger was ordinary. We will not be returning here and will next to bear the wait at our usual takeaway.
