Trattoria Amici - Leipzig

Located nice a quiet square this restaurant offers various italian choices with excellent tastes. Old building inside, very well preserved and adapted for a restaurant. Good mix of couples, people alone and families. Very good service and english spoken.

Have been here a few times and have never been disappointed. Do not miss out on the pizza bread, even if you choose pasta, fish or meat. The pizza, I did not eat according to our customers visiting with us was also excellent. The risotto was overcooked, that is why only 4 and not 5 stars. Excellent service.

This is my third visit, sadly this says more about the quality of Italian Restaurants in Leipzig than it does about me eating here more than once. It's like I said slightly above average. No Italian beer? Food was ok. Strangely main course came too quickly not just for me but the table next to me, was still enjoying my starter.

There are many re as on ably priced varieties of thin sliced pizzas. They are cooked to order just delectable. There are many other Italian dishes which I did not get to try. Friendly, professional service. No credit cards are accepted. Around the corner from the Mendelssohn House and close to the Gewand Orchestra.

The restaurant looked to be almost fully booked on the Saturday evening we visited but we were able to get a table outside. The staff were friendly and the service good. However, the food was average.
