Bidrage med feedbackThis has been until now my favorite Vietnamese restaurant, but after tonight I'll never come back. We waited almost half an hour for the waiter to take our order, and in the meantime people that came after us already had their food and their drinks. When I confronted the waiter about the situation and asked him for a claim sheet, he told me "You have to be patient, I'm alone". Then I told him: "This couple arrived 10 minutes after us and they are already eating their food, and you haven't even written down our order. Please, give me a claim sheet".Then he told me: "I don't understand". And had the nerve to leave me at the bar and ignored me. I didn't fill the claim in the end because I didn't want to waste any more time there and I was hungry, but I sincerely hope someone reads this review and chooses to go to a better restaurant.
Really good and delicious Food. Nice and quick service and very affordable prices. We have been multiple times and will go again! :)
The restaurant is located in a quite trendy neighborhood close to the centre of Leipzig. It was quite crowded so we had to sit inside. Since we are all Pho lovers we ordered Pho Bo (5,90€) & a mango shake. The drink was super delicious unlike the noodle soup. The broth tasted like instant the seasoning for instant noodles, which gives me the thought that they boil the noodles for other dishes and use that water for our food and that is of course unacceptable. Never again!
A friend and I chose this place to have vegetarian dinner. Summer rolls, noodles and curry were all very good. They also have many smoothies and well prepared cocktails. Also the staff is very friendly and pollite. Price-quality ratio is very good. We would definitely go again if we were to visit Leipzig again.
An Nam was a positive lunch time experience for our family on a German holiday. We called one hour ahead and asked to reserve a table. The gentleman on the phone spoke German and enough English to feel comfortable that our table would be waiting for us when we arrived. Getting to the restaurant was easy, and since it was a Holiday, parking was free. Sundays and Holidays, street meter parking is free. We parked right outside An Nam, perfect! Upon entering the Vietnamese restaurant we were promptly met by the same gentleman who I spoke with on the phone. We arrived at 1300, and there were hardly any other people in the place; as they only opened an hour prior. That said, they still afforded us a nice bit more private table with a perfect view of the front street. The server gave us both German and English menus, nice. We ordered green tea, and the kids ordered homemade lemonade. The drinks arrived promptly, and the servings were generous, and excellent of quality. We also ordered appetizers, Pho, and our main dishes. All the dishes that were served were tasty and fresh. Portions were more than enough for us. Preparing the food took a little longer than expected, for so few people in the place, but I brushed that off as everything being made from fresh ingredients. The looping music in the background was nice at first, but there are only like seven songs, so after an hour or so, we knew every song before it came, and found the experience rather funny... Maybe they could add 3-4 more songs? Then it wouldn't be so obvious. The price for all four of us was very reasonable. I expected it to cost much more. The place is very clean, the staff were responsive, and it gave a nice change of pace from the normal German cuisine in the city. I paid in cash, they had a sign that said "No EC Card", I am not sure if they take Credit Cards...
