Schwabengarten

Second time in Stuttgart. This place place was referred by a friend. Great food and atmosphere!

I am partial to the Schwabengarten because it's not a bad walk from my house. That being said, there are some positives for people who don't live nearby. It's close to the train station, so that's nice if you don't want to deal with driving afterwards. If you do drive, there's plenty of parking in the private lot. They have a great selection of food and a large playground for the kids. The way it's fenced in the kids don't have anywhere to escape to, so that's nice. Cons for a place that huge there are only two high chairs. Kind of weird given how kid friendly it is otherwise. The food ordering can be a bit of a pain because you have to go to different stations to order what you want. The food is fairly good though, nothing outstanding but it's good enough that you won't be disappointed afterwards.

Excellent pit stop after a bike ride or huddle up with a bunch of friends for good beer and great chicken wings. Bathrooms are in great shape new and cleaned every couple of hours. Pay as you go very convenient. No hassle when trying to split up checks or wait for waiter/waitress. (Cafeteria type ordering and food pick up with all the condiments and dinner needed) Great experience!
