Spice Lounge Leigh

We thought we would have a change from our normal Indian restaurant and try one local to where we live. There is plenty of parking at the rear of the restaurant. Nothing at the front. We received a nice warm welcome on entering the restaurant and was shown to a table. We ordered a Chicken Madras, Chicken Tikka Passanda, Bolied Rice, Garlic Naan, and a Peshwari Naan. To go with our food, we had a pint of Cobra and an Appletizer. We didn't have to wait long for our food. Both meals had a reasonable amount of chicken pieces in them. My Madras was fine. My partner's Passanda was delicious. Both of the Naans were very good. The service was good until I came to pay. Luckily, I checked the bill and noticed I had been charged £10.20 for two drinks. I questioned this as I went to pay. They apologised for the mistake and adjusted the bill down accordingly. It would appear someone had put the drinks from the next on our bill. Normally this place is not bad for a a curries however I haven't been in a while until last night I Ordered 2x chicken balti curries unfortunately for us they tasted bland somthing out of a supermarket jar and made me and my mrs very poorly definalty wasn't authentic cuzine which did surprise me as I have never experience this before here. Nice friendly staff. Had a good spice level dish (forgot the name) drink rice side and bread and it came to £23. Restaurant a little tired but going through renovations. Parking at the back. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
