The Sir Charles Napier - Leicester

This place won the local Camra regional pub award in 1997. The certificate remains proudly displayed 22 years later. The beers inexpensive though not necessarily good. On the night of my visit there was a loud disturbance in the public bar which was clearly audible in the lounge. Apparently one of the patrons had called another a doughnut and this vile slur would not be allowed to pass unanswered. Thankfully, after a prolonged period, good sense prevailed and something approaching calm was restored.

Very friendly, needs a better looking colour of Paint, instead of boring deep Grey.

I had a good time and a good night and a beer with mate

A great old real friendly pub. Maligned only by those who haven't been there recently.

This is a great neighborhood bar. The beer is always fresh and the staff is very welcoming. I will definitely be coming back.
