Costa Coffee - Leicester

I love this Costa as the staff are all really nice and friendly but last time I went in the manager was there and was incredibly rude, didn’t greet me and just stated drink in or to go without even looking up from the till and then practically threw the QR code scanner at me. The store was very busy and the staff looked run off their feet but yet the manger appeared ti be doing absolutely nothing to help and even chucking cakes into tins and squishing them while on display.

Well we tried this place on a Saturday afternoon at 4.30pm, and what a nightmare it was. We were greeted by a bunch of moody staff that was looking to leave as soon as they could. Not helpful, and not wanting any more customers as they made sure that the long queues of people were not made welcome. They totally ignored all of the people queuing to get served in the hope that they would go away. I have never experienced such poor customer service in any Costa Coffee. Give this place a miss, and especially if it’s close to closing time..!

The staff were quite rude and were playing really loud music. I heard two people ask for the volume to be lowered but the staff laughed and turned it up. I've been going in here for years but never again. Plenty of better friendlier places to visit.

Went for lunch the day after they reopened after lockdown. Great experience! Went again last week and what a difference in a week. People were ordering take outs and not wearing masks. People were sitting too close and the staff didn't say anything. The customers were clearing the tables before they could sit down and I was there an hour and never saw staff clean a table. I went to the local Nero and that felt like a much better experience. Wouldn't go to this Costa again

I used to be a regular customer at Costa Coffee in Debenhams Leicester, but not anymore. There is a staff member named Tim who is not interested in customer service after 4.30pm and only does take away orders. I question if he owns this branch because if he does, it will not survive.
