During our stay at the Lansdowne resort, I eat lunch at the poolside café while my wife sat by the pool. My wrap was very bland and the ice tea was weak. For 20 I expected more.
Every day we spent at the adults-only pool, there were only about 12 guests present in and around the pool. Service begins at 11 o'clock, and the waiter was very friendly, with some staff members from the local area and others from Ukraine and various other countries. However, the staff seemed to spend most of their time on their phones. The food was decent; the tuna salad and chicken salad plates were both acceptable but came in very small portions. The pita crackers were fine, but the nachos were the worst I’ve ever eaten—too thin and unable to hold the processed imitation cheese.
The burger was great! I ordered the fish sandwich, and it was really good—perfect for a night by the pool.
We spent the day at the pool café and had a fantastic and memorable time. The food was great for a poolside bar, and the staff was friendly and hardworking. With our large group of 11, we spent approximately $400 on beer, mixers, and food. We look forward to visiting the resort again, as we had an excellent overall experience at Lansdowne Resort.
