Jack Stack Barbecue Lee's Summit

Normally the food is outstanding... but this time I had the beef ribs and they were burnt so bad it was like eating charcoal and my brother had the brisket and it was so fatty he had to cut off much of it so he could eat it. It wasn't busy at the time and we got right in and seated right away. My brother in handicapped (one leg) and they did well to accommodate his needs. I just don't know why they would serve us burnt to a crisp ribs and super fatty brisket... this is not normal for this location.

We booked our table for 5 online and it asked if any reason coming in. I put birthday. When we arrived it had to be manager shift change or something cause we had to wait till she was done having a conversation.talking to server(s) then she checked us in. They saw one was on scooter and seated us on taller booth. We made it work, but felt scooter was in the way of staff/family going by. We had a wonderful server, she was attentive to table. Food was good, but definitely not wow! And some food portions were small compared to prices. My husbands meal (which was the more expensive one his meats looked like a small side item, not main course size. I would have figured someone would have said this is a birthday table of some sort since it asked what brings us in. Would I recommend to a friend... maybe, but would definitely tell them to do lunch. Your bill will fit your food portion size.

Our favorite bbq place in KC area. There was an initial mistake on what we ordered but it was corrected quickly by the waiter. Food is always good but like a lot of other restaurants prices continue to go up quantity of food goes down. Even though we ate at 2pm the place was busy noisy.

Great BBQ, best baked beans ever. Enjoyed the environment. Highly recommend
