Best Italian ever visited, quality from start to finish, great service, hot food and fresh, good value for money

Went for lunch after shopping and got a parking fine. I was told that there was a sign asking to leave your registration number. When I went back to check it was hidden behind the menus.

I asked female manager if my chicken would be plain and not marinated in anything or any spice due to allergies and was assured yes the chicken is plain. When my food arrived I bite into the chicken and my mouth felt hot and I smelt the chicken and it smelt of spice I pulled back the cheese to discover it was not plain, the waiter came over and I asked him if this chicken was plain and he went to ask the chef and the chef shouted “what are they complaining about” and the waiter showed him the check and pointed out it said plain and he said he put black pepper on it and the other chef said you told me to use the Cajun chicken, the waiter explained to the chef it says plain and the chef response was “just tell them to eat it” The waiter asked if I wanted anything else I said no as I was now put off, I then had to run to the toilet and was over 40 mins, The item was removed from the bill but NO APOLOGY and the manager never came out to speak to us and nobody asked if I was ok despite the fact that they saw me go into the toilet and come back out 40 mins later. This is no way to treat customers it was like they didn’t care

Decided to give this chain another try despite my reservations. I wish I had stuck to my gut feeling that I should try somewhere else. The place itself was ok and the staff were fairly attentive. It’s the food why you actually visit here. And the food we got was average, not good, not bad. But nothing to really write home about in all honesty. For what you pay and what you get, eating here is a bit of a rip off. You don’t leave the place stuffed but you do leave this place feeling pretty underwhelmed. This chain of restaurants must do better.

Great customer service at Frankie Benny’s in White rose Leeds. Husnu is particularly exceptionally good. Bea.
