After I went to this place again and again, I never really had to say something bad. eating is always excellent and the prices are more reasonable than the prime steak house. but last night, maybe my last visit. the service here has slow down. Regular are dependent on the fact that fewer frequent customers are brushed aside what I understand, they take care of their masters, but...3 barkeepers on the personal and you don't know what the other does. no communication at all. when I spend so much, I want to be noticed and treated as I exist. as if I had no drink for over 20 minutes or a menu. the 1st barkeeper gave us menus and went away.no drink order. 30 minutes later asks a 2, if we like drinks. 3. various barkeepers after completing the 1st drink asks us if we want 1 more. the slow service and only 2 beers in an hour have let me sleep in a round. the mood on this place is dead.as is a lot from the entire casino now.like going to a wake and that was Friday night! eating was great as usual, garneling and gries is a favorite. Maybe they'll take it to the next room.
After reading negative reviews about another overpriced steakhouse going downhill, I decided to try Cedars tonight and I'm glad I did. While the wine and drink selection may not be as extensive as the other place, they still have a good selection including Jordan Cabernet. The New York strip steak was juicy and satisfying, and the lobster was cooked perfectly. The bearnaise sauce was delicious and the espresso martini was enjoyable. The service was the highlight of the evening, with professional and warm staff at the bar making me feel cozy. Cedars is now my top choice for a steakhouse. I would recommend it over the other place. If Cedars were to improve their cocktail and wine selection, they could be unstoppable. I suggest focusing on classic cocktails like the martini, negroni, and brandy crusta, as well as offering more Bordeaux wines. Great job, Cedars!
An exceptionally great place to eat. the steak was the best I ever had, along with dinner rolls had a hauch of sweet and so soft. Although the place was crowded, the server up with them were constantly checked us. it is a more expensive place, but it is worth it. I hope to return for more fine eating.
For our anniversary dinner, we decided to try a high-end restaurant. We started with French onion soup, which was okay. I was looking forward to a delicious steak, so the soup didn't bother me much. I ordered the ribeye cooked medium rare, but it came out well done. I sent it back for a new one, but it came back raw. I decided to have it removed from my bill. The Mac and cheese I ordered as a side was bland and the pasta was overcooked. My wife ordered the prime rib cooked medium, but it arrived rare and lacked flavor. The mashed potatoes were the only good thing about the meal. My wife also ordered pan-seared scallops as an add-on, but they had a fishy taste and were odd. Despite not finishing our meals, we were faced with a hefty bill. They gave us a free dessert, but it didn't make up for the disappointing food. This kind of experience should not happen at a restaurant of such high standing.
