Bidrage med feedbackOur family has missed this restaurant very almost, as travel advisers showed 40% terrible reviews, as we stayed close, decided to go for a drink to see the place for ourselves. the owner Jean-Marc, who worked in Great Britain and speaks fluent English has immediately felt very welcome so that we stayed at the end of dinner and then return twice! the restaurant, located in a remote location, has a comfortable interior and a large terrace (partly covered) for all temperatures. there is also a large grill next to the terrace and a flawless toilet suitable for disabled access. the menu is not big, offers tapas as a deer, with brocheted, grilled meat or fish and chips for main courses and follow a selection at desserts. house wine is available from the glass or carafe and there was a modest bottle of wine lists that are very cheap from British restaurant standards. a nice graves was only 24 euro per bottle. in truth, the menu would probably only support two visits, but I tried the fish and chips of my wife on our first visit and decided to return for a full part of herself. because our second visit to fish was not available (a safe sign that it is fresh) we have booked a table for the last night of our holiday and emphasises that we wanted fish and chips on the menu. we were not disappointed, again the fish was solid and fresh in a bright golden dough and served with homemade tartaric acid sauce. for the variety we have divided brochettes (boiled on the grill) as entrees on this last visit. a reasonable selection of desserts was available to finish every meal, I have especially the panna cotta served with a very delicious fresh fruit sauce. Summing up then: a beautiful location with good value, well cooked eating and a friendly welcome in English if necessary. as roadside relais, this facility receives a 5-star rating from me.
This is something outside the beaten track and is located between two modern houses, so the location feels a little strange. we have eaten here at midday in september and it was calm. we ate on the terrace outdoors, which is spacious, clean and pleasant. but would benefit from an additional sunshade or two to provide more shade. 4 tables had shadowed. it would also benefit from a subtle screening to cover the houses beyond. the interieur also looked new and very clean. the toilet was also new and clean. the service was fast and infact we might have a little more time between the curses preferred. but because we ate on the lunchtime-fixed menu, which is oriented to workers with a limited lunch hour, it was good. the 3 courses were favorable, although the beginning of salat and nuts was a little unreliable. the main course on the midday card remains the same and does not vary and was a perfectly acceptable French one that caught on a frying chicken dinner. the dessert was 3 mini desserts including reispud, makkaron and panne cotta, all perfectly edible, but nothing special. the a la carte menu includes varied dishes from places like italy, thailand and spain and has meat and fish options. I didn't see anyone eating the a la carte menu. all in all, a perfectly acceptable lunch, but nothing special to withdraw me.
