Kelmscott Manor Tearoom - LECHLADE

This restaurant is amazing! We made sure to visit it during our trip. The staff in every room were helpful and knowledgeable. The property is well-maintained with a lovely tea room. We were lucky to have beautiful weather and spent several days exploring the village.

Following in the footsteps of Marie Spartali, who Kelmscott has painted several times, I can truly understand why she was so enchanted by the location. It was like a pilgrimage of art and wisdom to finally visit and see it for myself. It is truly a "small sky on earth," with a house that not only boasts appealing architecture and breathtaking interiors, but also exudes a sense of calm and tranquility that she must have found so inviting. I am sure I am not the only one who feels that there is so much to see and appreciate here, making it a place worth visiting again. Kelmscott, here we come again. x
