Not much English spoken here by the staff, but we did fine with our broken phrases and review of the menu with our waitress. Very friendly and intimate restaurant. Open kitchen if you have the right seats. House wine only but a decent red is served. Large menu but selections may not all be available depending on the day. What is available is freshly prepared and high quality. We shared a gnocchi with basil and tomato sauce Brilliant, flavourful dish. Veal dishes very good. I had scaloppine with mushrooms excellent, and my wife had Vitelli tornado served cold somewhat surprising as this was lost in translation but she enjoyed this dish. Desserts quite good (apple cake not pie and semi freddo with hazelnut topping. Coffee fabulous as expected everywhere in Italy! Great value for the Euro!
This is a little restaurant off the beaten path. Mostly locals which is what we were looking for. Not fans of eating in the touristy restaurants. The food was amazing. I had tagliatelle ragù then roasted veal. My husband had gnocci then the rabbit. He said it was the best rabbit he ever had and we’ve eaten all over the world. A real home-cooked meal. The service was great and the lady who runs the restaurant is lovely.
We were staying close to the railway station, and on a Monday, not a lot is our. We had lunch here only customers at 2.15pm and had delicious pumpkin tortelli and tagliatelle with funghi. House white was fine, red not so good. Came back for dinner for secondi. Was very busy especially with an 80th birthday dinner. Eventually were served grilled fish a little dry, with potatoes and salad, as contorni. shared a bottled red wine that was nice. Not cheap, but good. Triamisu was good also. Food not too expensive, but adds up with contorni which you need. Place was too busy with one waitress and one cook, but place was friendly and served good food. No English spoken to us, but if you have basic ristorante Italian, you will be fine.
