Vico Patarnello - Lecce

We found this restaurant by chance and it was absolutely a wonderful experience. We felt really welcome and had a very nice evening!! Each part of the salentino menu was explained and we really appreciated the few French words used. The food was very good!!!

Oh, how we enjoyed our evening meal. People who smile make a great difference and added to that a great interest in the food and wine and you have the perfect host. We shared our starters at Dino’s suggestion..in fact we shared each course and nothing was too much for him. When we showed interest in a particular item he brought us a whole cheese as this was the main ingredient,and it had been specially prepared for us. Do go...you will not regret it.

We stumbled across this restaurant in a small street near the old city centre. The owner Ricardo and his girlfriend specialise in fresh locally sourced typical salentina cuisine. Every dish is freshly made with great care. We enjoyed the entree of bruschetta with burratta and sun dried tomato and olive tapenade. We also had delicious octopus stew. There was also an excellent wine selection

Excellent surprise in the heart of Lecce!!! Ricardo the waiter and his partner, own this little place offering typical Salentino food prepared with local products. It is a fantasy of flavors and presentations. We highly recommend this place and wish Ricardo and Nadia all the best in this new venture for them.

We found this restaurant by chance after seeing a sign on the main route and a slight detour and we were there. Ricardo explained the menu choices to us and they all sounded very unique and tantalised the taste buds. He explained the starter portions were quite large and his passion come shining through. we chose various combinations: Bruschetta this was about 6 lovely pieces of bread overflowing with tomato, we had 2 lots of different bread with fresh olive oil and Balsamic Vinegar, we ordered Polpette Frites (fried meatballs) they were delicious, we had Patata con Rosmarimo (Potatoes in Rosemary) and a Burger Di Podolica which was presented as an artwork washed down with a lovely bottle of regional Red wine. The three staff are really friendly and obviously really enjoy their work of cooking and seeing people satisfied.
