J.j. Hills - Leavenworth

Our experience was mediocre, which is reflected in the 3-star rating. It took 10-15 minutes for our server to greet us after being seated, despite being the only table. The staff appeared more focused on chatting at the bar than assisting customers. The food was average; the fondue was delicious, but our daughter's chicken strips and fries were just ok. We felt we could have gotten a better meal at a fast food restaurant for a lower price. We likely won't return to this restaurant the next time we visit Leavenworth.

The service was acceptable, but the waitress seemed disinterested. My steak was cooked well, but had a burnt taste to it. My wife's pasta tasted like a frozen meal. The brownie we ordered for dessert was hard and had a stale flavor, as if it had been sitting out for a long time.

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous New Year's Eve dinner with exceptional service as well as fabulous food drinks! They were short staffed but that did not get in the way of making our visit just perfect! The restaurant was conveniently located right off of the lobby so we stayed nice and cozy as we walked from our room : Thank you to all of the wonderful staff we appreciate your hard work with a smile!!

I guess I expected more for the price of the resort and the limited reservations on New Year's Eve. It was clear they turned away walk ups because of staffing.

The service was understandably busy. The food options were disappointing. We were informed that there would be live music, but it was not present.
