Flamingo's Erie Shores Family Restaurant

On Mar. I wrote that I Love this place...breakfast with a view Excellent for breakfast, good value and always had good service. The view in the early morning is amazing Today the view is still amazing, but the breakfast served puts your life in...danger. My first visit since the new owners took over was bad, it took attempts to correctly fold our omelets and they could not get it right. The omelets were raw. I went back with my family a year later and they still could not get the folding correct. was folded and raw. Last Summer my wife convinced me to go back and try it again.. May be they have a new cook she said. We both tried the omelets...I took them minutes to get to our table. Both were burnt on the bottom all the way to the center. Not just a little but CHARCOAL. Excellent facility through the years that changed ownership in spring Appears their new name is ERIE SHORES GOLF CLUB RESTAURANT. We went for lunch at and found no one there for the minutes we were there. Not even the golfers!! My wife’s...Sliders were missing the sauce and if the mini-burgers were cooked any longer they would have looked like hockey pucks. My Bogey Burger was slightly larger than a slider and filled with “high cost” lettuce, pickles and tomatoes. The French fries, over cooked, limp and cold. When we brought this to the young waitress’ attention her first statement was that she didn’t cook it. The manager and the grill cook didn’t even come to talk with us. This business will not last long.

We had high hopes, given the recent changes to the place. We went on a Sunday for lunch, and waited minutes to get our food (chicken gyro and reuben sandwich), even though there were only about tables occupied in the whole restaurant. The...fries that came with both meals were so oil-soaked that you could squeeze the grease out with your fork. The chicken in the gyro was dried out, and the gyro itself was stale. The reuben was stacked with tough meet and had soggy bread. On top of that, once our food was finally delivered, we never saw our server again. We will not be going back here again.

This is the place for breakfast. Great view, great staff, and a good selection. I will be telling everyone that is visiting this area.
