Bidrage med feedbackWhy don't we eat here more often? we had a wonderful lunch and realized that we have been here since juni 2003. That's what it says.
We made a private beaujolais nouveau evening tour with kanpai tours, and that was the stop to dinner. our touring host justine sat with us. we were warmly welcomed by the owner and brought to the beautiful dining room where we had the whole place to ourselves. we chose both the 44 euro menu gastronomy. I had to start the homard (lobster) with sweetness and then a large bark dish also with sweetness for my head. followed a cheese course, and then a bowl vanille sorbet with poire williams, a beautiful but potent pear liqueur. (think calvados, but pears instead of apples) my other half had the same lobster star, but followed by a chicken dish with sweet and kartoffels. he also had some cheese selections followed by baba au rhum for dessert. I had a bottle chateau of the loges 2015 rouge (75cl,) and he had a bottle beaujolais blanc 2015 (75cl.) everything was delicious. it was a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere for dinner after a stop for wine tasting in oingt and in front of our main stop in beaujeu for the midnight revealing of the 2017 beaujolais nouveau. I would like to return a day here, but would need a car rental or luck on a tour like this time. if they are in the opposite, this is a good meal. I'm sure the hotel would also be a great place to spend a few nights as gras! Many thanks to olivier and justine of kanpai tours to make us such a place in the middle of the rural beaujolais.
We had dinner here not only, but also the night in the hotel. the location is beautiful and the dining room tastefully modern but with the chateu still feel there. contempt and discreet staff plus the owner is present and very helpful and interesting...in the discussion about the history of the place. as for the meal, it was delicious. there were menus on 47 and 56 euro, but we ordered à la carte. I had the consommé of red lenses with supposed scalopps, amazing! then served some venison with various roasted fruits (apple, birne and chestnuts) in a rich engraving. to dessert a superimposition of crispy thin crepe and caramalized bananen with ink-red ice on the side. the wee are local, we had made the côtes de brouilly right there on the grounds at an extremely reasonable price. I highly recommend this place.
A family lunch and where to go? Chateau des Loges. And no disappointment we had a great meal, plus they have a great wine list both from the local (almost in-house) wine collective and brought in. I don't think we have ever been disappointed here....I have always enjoyed the seasonal variety, from venison to pigeon from asparagus to the salads of summer. We keep going back so need I say more. This is at the upper end price wise, so not an everyday place but the exchange price/quality/atmosphere is far
