This review is for the NOTTING GILL CHIPPY* pop up restaurant at the Kensington Place.

Lots of different delicious kind of dishes. Very good wine and of course very kindly staff and owner.

I am a big user of trip advisor so we usually research restaurants pretty heavily online before making a reservation. we had previously looked at this restaurant in the area but had decided to make a reservation elsewhere. however once we reached the town I was so captivated by the charm we luckily ended up walking past this hotel and noticing the beautiful dining room from an outside window. I have no idea why anybody would leave a negative review for this restaurant. I am so happy I went with my gut instinct and ended up canceling our other reservation and making a reservation here. my boyfriend and I love experiencing new places and new menus and this was a truly one-of-a-kind unique experience in the mountains. neither one of us speaks any French but luckily they have Wi-Fi so we were able to understand for the most part the menu. The food is a very classical traditional French cuisine (my response to those who say the place is dated). we really enjoyed the elegant older fashioned Decore as I really feel it gave the place it's charm. our waitress was extremely attentive and provided a high level of service. we were very pleased to have the owner come around and speak with us after getting off of a day on the slopes, this was very special. we had a three course meal, "terre" of the land, as well as a selection of cheeses. everything was excellent I wanted to lick the plate and the wine we chose was very good as well. do not go by some of these reviews, which I feel are left by people who really have no idea about food, perhaps they're not looking to spend the money however we found the prices to be very reasonable (and we are a younger couple)thank you so much for a wonderful last evening to finish off our wonderful ski vacation in the French Alps!!

Madame, the owner, is gracious and graceful and tends to her Inn as an artist who loves her craft. Everything about our stay was pleasing, especially the comfortable bed, the generously sized room and the extremely delicious dinner.....but even more, we will forever remember and cherish our delightful chats with Madame and her staff who made us feel most welcome and "at home".
