We had a great time at the Grenier à Sel. The decoration is pretty, we appreciated the fact that the tables are spaced apart. Everything was perfect, the welcome, the service, the dinner... It was a treat, for the taste buds but also for the eyes. The wine offered to me was excellent. The staff is attentive while being discreet. We will come back, for sure! Service: Dine in
Un lundi soir au Mans (jour de la semaine désolé en termes de restaurants donc nous décidons de redécouvrir ce restaurant dont nous avions un très bon souvenir...sympathiques au téléphone, sympathiques à l'arrivée, un service présent mais pas trop, et des sourires; une carte limitée mais des plats excellents...fins, avec beaucoup de saveurs et de recherches; menus du soir à 59 entrée/plat/dessert, une belle carte de vins... (attention à la gestion des vins par table, un peu confuse, on nous a servi le vin d'une autre table...); en bref, une très belle et bonne adresse au Mans.
Une envie de bonne table. Honnêtement pas déçu. Accueil très agréable. Superbe sélection d'apéritifs. Menu varié. Tout était frais et préparé le jour même. N'hésitez pas à réserver, nous recommandons fortement.
Very disappointed! This restaurant practices fairly bold prices and must therefore present a certain level at all levels not only, I found a lack of freshness for some ingredients such as the spice bread accompanying the foie gras of my table neighbor that I could taste as well as the cake placed under my salt caramel apple: both were dry, hard and without flavor. as well as ducks offered in mignardise that were also carbonized. and the salted caramel droplets were only tasteable to the finger, so they were mediocre. Moreover, I asked for a more or less vegan menu because there was no option or even vegetarian on the map. and we dared to charge me as for a normal menu while there was no foie gras, size shells just a few scattered cereals and some crudity crumbs without flavor. It's true that they didn't count my two desserts, but that's a minimum, I was going to leave the table hungry with the microscopic bites I had before. In any case, a vegetarian or vegetarian menu does not have the same price as meat or fish. By the wings, the decor of the restaurant does not cut the breath either. for a gourmet restaurant, the atmosphere is rather banal. and as far as service is concerned, the boss seemed to me pretty high and superficial lack of humility and listening, having not really taken into account the few indications I could give him for my menu. the pretty waitress who cared for us was, on the other hand, very smiling and extremely effective. there is only the lemon pie that remains in excellent memory, it was delicious and beautifully presented. However, I regret not being able to recommend this restaurant.
