Bidrage med feedbackThis is an unassuming little place on the beach, but don't be fooled. Leo is a magician with fish, which on Holbox is fresh every day. We usually just go with whatever Leo recommends. His grilled fish is always delicious. Great food, very reasonable prices. Don't miss it.
If you want the freshest fish, prepared by one of the best chefs on the island, you cannot do better than chef Leo's changarrito. Chef Leo's sauces and spices are always a complement to the fish. Great sides and a casual dinner experience right on the shore. Highly recommended!
The fish is freshly caught and brought in the morning. Simply the best grilled fish I ate. He asks how you would like the fish, or if you would like ceviche (also extremely good).Leo is amazing with his costumers, After coming there now a few times he knows your face and is just lovely! A shame we are leaving to the next island.
Leo made us an incredible boquinete, grilled with a little bit of garlic - it was one of the best fish we've ever tasted. It came with tortillas, salad, rice, homemade crisps, chips + dip, all for just 220 pesos (£9). More than enough for two people. Leo is really friendly too. Go if you get the chance.
This place is still open as we were there on Feb 7, 2017. It is closed if there is no fishing for the day as we found out on the previous day. You get to pick out which fish you want cooked for you. My husband who detests fish actually tried a hock/hawk (?) fish and the way Leo prepared and cooked it was just amazing. My husband actually demolished it! We shared the one fish and it was plenty for the both of us and only $250 pesos. My sister and her husband had the red snapper and lobster and they also said how amazing the fish was. You just can not get that in the states for that price! Leo was so friendly and knowledgeable and spoke English very well. The absolute best meal we had on the island.
