La Puente Mexican - Layton

Yummy! Hit the spot. Got enchiladas. Son had smothered burrito. Will come again.

I like to get lunch here. Service is always friendly and helpful. The chicken in the taco salad isn't as good as the beef, so stick with the beef. Love the chimichangas and burritos the shredded beef is great. Good sized portions too.

The service is bad considering the host .before this happened we used to go alot.then we starting noticing they would seat us by the bathrooms.and keep the whites in the center.we are Hispanic the so called manager said something like ahh don't worry about it .so the ponsona host moved us a litte bit further...we decided to get up and leave. Won't be going there again if you want better service and people go to the one in salt Lake..seriously.....mr.mike delgado.

It was a good place to eat, until they moved to Layton. The owner, manager and staff feels like it's okay to treat fellow Hispanics like garbage at the restaurant. While treating another race better (We know the majority race in Layton), never going there again. Congratulations on losing business, I'll be telling family and friends about this interaction.

PROS: yummy margaritas, fast seating, tasty queso, objectively nice staff. CONS: Stale chips, salsa has a spaghetti sauce texture/taste, decor is outdated/irrelevant, service not as great as it could be, small portion of cheese for price and for families not satisfactory, not able to add to your order (will not add Queso on top of main dishes, not even for an extra charge, rather I was told to order the small portion of Queso and add it myself), depressing staff responses. Went twice probably will avoid from now on. Prices do not match expectations for service or quality of food. Lots of potential not being met here IMO.
