Bidrage med feedbackAfter paying, you need to grab a table and serve yourself food. There was a decent selection of vegetables, some meat options, and a salad bar. Once we filled our plates and located a table, we discovered that most of the food was either cold or bland. Still, being hungry, we made do with what we had, even though some items were inedible. We waited and waited for one of the two waitstaff to come by and refill our drinks. I couldn't help but notice that in the entire restaurant, there were only four tables occupied, yet all had empty drink glasses and dirty dishes piled up. When I finally glanced around for assistance, I found both waitresses standing at the front counter, seemingly carefree and smiling as I approached with my empty cups. I found myself staring at that "we work for tips" sign and thought, "But do you really?!" I’m usually not hard to please, and I was ready to tolerate the lackluster cold food I had just paid $30 for two people, but the fact that I had to practically beg for a drink refill was absolutely ridiculous! A piece of advice for the staff: if you rely on tips, it's essential to put in some actual effort. For buffet waitresses, it's as simple as refilling drinks and clearing away dirty dishes.
The fried chicken was decent, but there were no breast pieces. It tasted a bit bland and reminded me of something from a can. I wouldn't make a special trip just for this. We were only in the area by chance. Food rating: 3/5.
Today's main dishes included fried fish, fried chicken, chicken pot pie (which was really delicious), chicken livers, pulled pork, baked chicken, Salisbury steak, and even sauerkraut with cut-up hot dogs (I was pleasantly surprised by how good that bite was). The only dish I didn’t enjoy was the pulled pork, as it seemed like it hadn't been refreshed recently. However, the green beans tasted fresh, not canned or frozen, and were cooked perfectly. There were plenty of vegetable options, along with cornbread and yeast rolls, and fresh fruit available. The mac and cheese was also quite tasty. The salad bar was large, and everything was very clean. The staff members were friendly. As a truck driver, I'm familiar with home-style buffets and country cooking, and this place definitely stands out from your typical Golden Corral. Don't forget to save room for dessert; the banana pudding and peach cobbler were outstanding!
Awesome southern food! Every time I come here, they have something new to choose from. The staples are there, but they always add something new. Family-esque feel to thr place. People are very friendly, refill your drinks before you even ask, and are very adorable. I am very pleasedVegetarian options: A great choice of fresh vegetables and fruit, as well as carb meals and cooked vegetable meals.Kid-friendliness: Calm and family friendly environment.Parking: Plenty of spots in a very large lotWheelchair accessibility: Yes. Sidewalk level, double wide entry doors
Update: The food is still good. I recommend getting fried drumsticks, mashed red potatoes, corn muffin, dressing and potato salad. Proteins are lightly seasoned but the drumsticks are just great everytime. Friendly staff got me some fresh cut lemon from the back.Great affordable southern cooking. The fried chicken was perfect.
