Sakura - LAVENA PONTE TRESA

Very good food, very calm ambient and service is great, waiters are nice and it’s fairly priced. If you are looking for a good sushi place and you are in this zone, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Very friendly staff, struggling a bit with English, but very customer oriented. Nice terrace or air conditioned main room. Unbeatable prices for that fresh quality! From Lugano, it is only 26’ by train. Ideal for a nice meal!

We went there three times, and never have been disappointed. But you need to book especially on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening. We took japanese ravioli, chinese ravioli, small sushi plate (12x), mixed tempura (3 shrimps and some vegetables), 8x rolls, fried melanzane stuffed with meat, a bottle of chardonnay, 2 espressos: 70 Euros totally, which is fair since the quality of food was good. The staff is really friendly and available for explanations on food, and at the end a small glass of limoncello or liquor is offered. The big advantage compared to othe Japanese in Lavena Ponte Tresa is that it is centrally located, 100m from the Swiss border. Try it, you will not be disappointed.
