Lo A La Bouche - Lavalette

We went here 6 th of April for a group meal for my husbands 65th birthday. We visited in advance to plan a set meal for 11 people and this was a tall order. Some pescatarian,some non red meat eaters and two coeliacs. It was tremendous . Fabulous five course meal, well served and at a good price. This restaurant does attract groups and I can understand why. Well done, and yes you can take the dog.

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and what a success it was. Although small it is perfectly formed and on a Saturday night the restaurant was full and there was an excellent atmosphere. The staff were fun and attentive and very knowledgeable. We had starters of Fois gras in Calvados and the Salmon, crab and feta cheese salad which were outstanding. The steak with Fois Gras and port jus was perfectly cooked. The sweet breads again beautifully cooked may have benefitted with a little less sauce. Rounded off with a birthday complimentary drink our cup runnerth over. Great chef Great waiters Great atmosphere.

We had a great meal. It's a nice place and the staff were very attentive. Not easy for them as there were 14 of us! We are very sorry if we upset anyone who went for a quit night out! The 22 euro menu was excellent value for money. Pigs cheeks especially nice! Thank you
