Cook Out - Laurinburg

The prices at this restaurant have really gone up. The days of the $5.99 tray are long gone. I recently ordered two hotdogs, double the seasoned fries, and a large tea, and the total came to over $9.00. The cashier was unfriendly, and the noise level at the walk-up window was so loud with people talking that I couldn't even hear my total.

This restaurant offers a drive-thru and walk-up experience serving classic Friday night football game concession stand food. If you're looking for anything more elevated, you may be disappointed. Despite that, the service at the window was good and the food was hot and greasy, just as you would anticipate. The location is situated in a strip mall next to a Waffle House, where a grease trap overflowed from the wall.

I visited the drive-thru at Cookout yesterday and ordered 2 large sweet teas. When I went to pick up my order at the window, I received my drinks and the cashier swiped my debit card. I absentmindedly placed the receipt on the seat and drove off. While driving, I received a notification on my phone that my debit card had been charged $17.89 for the two teas. I immediately turned around and returned to Cookout, only to find that the cashier who overcharged me was on break, eating. I complained at the window about being cheated out of my money. The cashier returned and angrily cursed out the employees, stating that she had charged me for someone else's food. The other cashier kindly refunded me my $17.89. The cashier who cheated me should definitely be fired, and Cookout needs to hire better staff. I have had too many negative experiences there, with some of the cashiers being extremely rude. Be cautious with your debit cards!

Usually Cook Out is pretty consistent and a great value. Not this one.

Cookout has the most disrespectful people that work there ... Everytime I've been all they do is cuss where everyone can hear them and they act like it's ok and keep on it's a shame.. Y'all really need to talk to y'all's employees about this situationit's very bad for business
