Bidrage med feedbackTook a side trip to Laurel Mississippi and discovered this little bakery ice cream shop. You must go in, get some ice cream and a cookie. Then get the cinnamon roll. It may be the best cinnamon roll on the planet.
I asked for the rainbow cupcakes and I was assured that would be fine. We even paid $15 extra for the rainbow icing. What I received was mostly blue and purple some had a bit of green/white muddied in there. Some cupcakes barely even had icing. Then, we ordered pink and green ?dipped? cookies in the shape of a 1. They were a mess, they barely even looked like 1s. We cut a lot of them to even resemble a 1. Honestly, they didn?t even taste any different than store bought. Ontop of all this they only wanted to give us $15 refund for the rainbow icing but ultimately refunded more after a few minutes of back and forth. She did offer to redo the Icing but since they were already late having them done we didn?thave time to wait for a redo. I?m highly disappointed.
Husband and I enjoy sweets. Sought out this bakery while in Laurel and bought enough items to last several days. They are known for their pecan sticky buns and I can say I was glad I purchased one. It took me two days to eat it since it was quite large as was the banana nut muffin that I purchased as well. Husband bought cookies which he enjoyed. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is that the two girls working in the shop while we were there could not tell uswhat some of the items were or what they had in them. Apparently someone else makes the products and leaves them in the showcases and then other people come in to run the shop. There were no labels to identify the products and since thegirls really did not know what they were, we were left to guess about what we were buying. I want to finish by saying that everything we purchased was very good even though we were not quite sure what some of the cookie items really had inthem until we ate them.
The sticky buns and cinnamon rolls are fantastic! Fresh cookies, scrumptious pies, just an all-around taste treat.
It's a beautiful little bakery. Friendly staff. And as great as everything looked and the size of everything I thought it was going to be expensive but it's not at all! We got this giant cookie sandwich for $2.50 and it was so so good.
